2025 year in review

I’m writing this in the early hours of a cold January morning, bundled up in a snuggly robe I got as a gift from Mayank and Manini on Christmas, and watching my oudh-scented candle dance a wild dance, casting creative shadowy shapes on the wall.

It’s glorious. It’s cozy. It’s the perfect setting for what I’m about to share with you — our 2025 review. 👏🏼

2025 started like my 5 AM mornings do - slow and quiet. Not scary quiet, but comforting quiet.

The kind that reminds you that you’ve seen this before, you know it well, and you’ll be fine.

2025 wasn’t our best year ever. But it was glorious in every which way.

First, let’s get what didn’t happen this year out of the way.

❌ Neither Mayank nor I made the health changes we wanted.

❌ Neither of us read as much or enjoyed our sports as much as we aspired to. Tennis for Mayank, swimming for me.

❌ Didn’t meet our 2025 revenue goals, and the graph stayed flat when compared to 2024. Full disclosure: Our financial year ends in March, but I also like looking at the calendar year.

Alright … now what did happen:

On the personal front …

🥳 Mayank turned 45, I turned 46, and our daughter, Manini turned 17. To give you some perspective, we started our business when Mayank and I were both 31, and Manini had just turned 3. Yep.

❤️ We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary.

💪🏼 ALL of us were healthy for the most part with a few minor flare-ups and infections. But nothing serious or worrying.

✈️ We travelled to Thailand AND Singapore as a family. Our 4th time in Thailand and 2nd time in Singapore.

🍹We enjoyed two luxurious staycations at our favorite 5-star city hotel.

😂 Manini and I introduced Mayank to the joy of getting monthly manicures and pedicures!

And most importantly, we saw Manini thrive in Grade 12 despite the incredibly rigorous IB coursework. ☺️

She attended the Jaipur Literary Festival, participated in a range of extracurriculars, read books like Thinking Fast and Slow, continued her duties as Writing Team Lead for the IBlieve website, and put in hours and hours of study, acing her semester exams.

And she did it all while being her usual sweet, positive, funny, joyful, and determined self. We're seriously SO proud of her!

Her university applications are underway for an undergraduate degree in psychology. This time next year, our little girl will be in a university of her choosing. ALL the feels. 🥹

On the business front, there were big moves and small shifts.

💰 Revenue stayed the same as 2024.

🙌🏼The biggest move was our decision to rebrand from Content Bistro to Profitably Yours. The new website has been a long time coming, but we’re hopeful we’ll have everything done for a February launch!

🤖The other big move was fully stepping into our strategy-first, sales-focused AI era and expanding our suite of services to include AI builds, workshops, and programs.

We released the Skeptic Buyer Bot, which has, by far, been our BEST ever opt-in. Like ever! We're blown away by the consistently great feedback we get for it. 👏🏼

We sold out GPT Jetpack in a matter of days and successfully launched Flash Sale Autopilot and AI Conversion Suite. Since we put GPT Jetpack on evergreen mode, we’ve had over 300 entrepreneurs scoop it up!

🧠 On the business coaching front, we worked with 7 clients in Intentionally Profitable, which we officially retired mid-2025. We may bring it back at some point, but nothing is planned for it right now.

📝 On the course sales strategy and conversion copywriting front, we worked with 20 clients across diverse niches on their messaging, LIVE launches, evergreen funnels, and behavior-based sales sequences, like nurtured-for-sales newsletters.

Fun fact: For nearly every client, our engagement included MULTIPLE projects with at least a minimum of two projects per client. The result? Being booked solid with fewer clients! We're currently booking for end-April and early May! 🥳

Our most popular copywriting offer this year was the Growth Unbottled retainer, which gives clients our unlimited strategy, copywriting, and in 2026, AI build services in one nifty package and for a monthly fee.

Our most popular AI offer continued to be done-for-you AI builds, including creating custom strategy-first, sales-focused custom GPTs, Claude projects, AI Audience Focus Groups, and AI Assistants.

Collaboration and community were definitely strong themes this year. I travelled to Boise for Craft and Commerce and Jay Clouse’s Lab Offline, and had the joy of spending time with a delightful bunch of fellow creators and entrepreneurs and meeting friends, old and new.

I delivered the opening keynote for ATOMICON (virtual) and spoke at Brenna McGowan’s Behind the Launch (for the 2nd time!) and Marisa Corcoran’s AI Sessions. ALL stellar events!

We also participated in Lizzy Goddard’s X’Mas Party and Dallas Travers’ Coach Glow Up, and the way both events were organized and the results they delivered changed my opinion on bundles. So definitely a win!

ALL in all … it was a rich, fulfilling, and deeply satisfying year. 💯

One that left us feeling excited about 2026. On that note, in my next email, I’ll share a sneak peek at our 2026 plans! 👀

Meanwhile … thank you so much for being a part of our world and for welcoming us into your inbox. 🫶🏼
